Phenomenal growth has resulted in the creation of this specialist standalone technical manager opportunity within our luxury beauty brand client.
Reporting to the product director you will be instrumental in ensuring all product in market and future launches are 100% compliant across all territories and including, formulation, claims, marketing copy and packaging.
This is a key role supporting both marketing and commercial colleagues to provide the relevant technical validation, support or recommendations.
Skills we need:
- You will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of global regulatory and compliance for cosmetics and home fragrance in particular with the US, European and Far East being high on the agenda
- Have an understanding of hazardous materials and limitations
- Risk analysis for claims and copy
- Strong communication skills to be able to challenge with confidence
- The ability to work at pace
- Excellent project management capability.
There is plenty to do in terms of due diligence and improvement of processes and systems as well as the fast-paced day to day responsibilities.
An energetic and positive individual will fit into this ambitious and entrepreneurial business really well. Able to provide a consultative approach to guiding colleagues, suppliers and senior stakeholders effectively.
Only candidates from a technical cosmetics background will be of interest and applicants are likely to hold an appropriate qualification in cosmetics science.
Working from home is the norm at the moment but when returning to normal working arrangements you will need to be happy to travel to the North and work on site every three weeks or so, with a 1 or 2-night stay which will be fully expensed.
