Published: 10-Apr-2018

On the in-cosmetics global trade show in Amsterdam, the testing institute 'proDERM' will reveal newest methods and progresses in an array of applications.

One of the highlights that visitors of booth H140 will be able to learn more about will be the new skin microbiome method.

The support of microbiome related claims will also be the topic of the proDERM Technical Seminar, to be held on Day 1 of the show at 3.40 pm. The seminar will cover the following:

  • 16S rRNA sequencing, a paradigm change in skin microbiology
  • Each body site has its own skin microbiome: How to classify?
  • Quantitative data of all bacteria down to the genus: How can such data be handled?
  • Which claims can be made?
  • What is a healthy microbiome?
  • How to test probiotic effects on skin?
  • A study example: Effect of a deodorant on the microbial diversity
  • Conclusions and prospects

Another topic at booth H140 will be the progresses made within the anti-pollution portfolio.

And a special attraction will also be offered: visitors will have the chance to enter a drawing and win a full delegate pass for the proDERM Academy Claims Support Seminar, coming up in November 2018.
