September marks World Alzheimer's Month and The Perfume Shop aims to raise awareness with a plan of activity

The Perfume Shop has raised more than £100,000 for Alzheimer's Research UK so far this year.

The A.S. Watson-owned fragrance retailer has long supported the charity, which is dedicated to defeating dementia, and has raised £350,000 to date.

Gill Smith, The Perfume Shop's Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to be able to mark the start of World Alzheimer’s Month by announcing that we have reached a milestone raising £100,000 for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

"With a robust plan for the rest of the year we are confident we are going to smash our 2018 target of £150,000.”

Now in its fourth year of supporting the charity, The Perfume Shop has a plan of action to mark the awareness month.

As well as colleagues being involved in fundraising, customers can also add 50p to purchases, which will go to the charity.
