One of the main special features of the sensory department of Dermscan is its panellists. They are 15 persons regularly trained to sensory analysis techniques according to strict rules and protocols. A few of them are loyal to Dermscan for more than 20 years! They take part in the realisation of the sniff-tests, QDA (Quantitative Descriptive Analysis) profiles, or brightness of the complexion assessment.
Thanks to our premises equipped with individual boxes containing Fizz network, sinks, mirrors and "day light" lighting, the assessments conducted are very standardised, serious but in a good atmosphere!
The trainings on samples or T-shirts worn for 12 hours by volunteers, allow the panellists to detect and quantify on a scoring scale, differences in intensity of perspiration odour or fragrance hint. The aim is to obtain the most homogeneous results.
