Retail sales in the UK have grown for the first time in five months, buoyed by a late Easter, according to figures from the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).
In its latest CBI Distributive Trades Survey, the organisation found that of 110 firms, of which 55 were retailers, showed that since November 2018, sales volumes rose in the year to April 2019, sitting above average for the time of year.
