The world’s leading cosmetics producers, operating in Russia, may consider suspension of their activities in Russia and possible leave of the local market in case of adoption of the law allowing the confiscation property, assets and accounts of European and US companies operating in Russia.

The drafting of the law by the Russian Council of Federation and the State Duma is currently under way and there is a possibility that its adoption may take place in the coming weeks. The law follows the second package of sanctions on the country, which was recently approved by the US Congress and which is considered by some analysts as the toughest since the Cold War.
