French perfume house Van Cleef & Arpels is paying homage to the ylang ylang flower with its new Rêve d’Ylang scent.

Blended by French perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, the fragrance features notes of cardamom, ylang ylang essence and saffron, while vanilla and patchouli add richness.

“Ylang has always inspired me,” said Pellegrin.

“It’s an iconic flower whose warm and spicy aromas instantly conjure up the image of exotic lands.”

The new fragrance will join Van Cleef & Arpels’ Collection Extraordinaire and retail at £260.

The scent is now available exclusively at Harrods and will roll out to the rest of the UK from 6 May.
