Vince Camuto grows fragrance wardrobe with latest scent

US shoe and fashion designer Vince Camuto is launching his third women’s fragrance, named Vince Camuto Femme.

Composed by Adriana Medina of Givaudan, it was inspired by Camuto’s favourite flower, the delphinium, which has a faint, iris-like scent. The fragrance has head notes of citrus and pink pepper; heart notes of jasmine, rose and iris, and base notes of patchouli, vetiver, amber and vanilla.

The juice is blue, and advertising will feature Inguna Butane, a model with a similar eye colour, in print ads shot by Nagi Sakai and a video by Rob Kassabian. The packaging was designed by Henry Thierion de Monclin, who has worked with perfume brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino and Gucci, and the round glass bottle was manufactured by French specialist Pochet.

The edp costs US$45 for 30ml, $60 for 50ml and $78 for 100ml, while body products range between $35 and $40. Macy’s has been chosen for the initial launch this month, and will have the perfume as an exclusive until Valentine’s Day, when it will also appear in other US retailers including Belk, Bon-ton, Dillard’s and Nordstrom.

The fragrance is set to eventually roll out to around 7,500 doors worldwide, according to Camuto’s fragrance licensee Parlux.
