While many sectors in retail might be struggling, the cosmetics sector doesn’t seem to be following suit.
According to analyst Kantar Worldpanel, the UK market for cosmetics was worth £9.77 billion in December 2017, only a slight decrease on the previous year, following six years of continuous growth.
But that doesn’t mean the sector is slowing down. The make-up industry has grown rapidly, especially due to beauty YouTubers and Instagram influencers.
