Vytrus Biotech awarded EcoVadis Silver Medal

Barcelona located active cosmetic ingredients supplier has been recognised for its good practices

Vytrus Biotech has been recognised by EcoVadis with a 2020 Silver Medal for its good practices in sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

The Barcelona-based supplier, which specialises in active ingredients derived from plant stem cells, was said to have stood out in the areas of environment, labour practices and human rights.

EcoVadis assesses the sustainability practices of more than 65,000 companies. The methodology applied covers seven management indicators based on 21 sustainability criteria in four areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable purchasing.

The EcoVadis Silver Medal is said to be awarded to only 25% of the companies evaluated worldwide.
