Weener Plastics acquires Russian bottle manufacturer Artpack

The acquisition is said to align with Weener Plastics’ global expansion strategy

Weener Plastics has acquired Russian bottle manufacturer Artpack.

Artpack is located in Dzerzhinsk, in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, which is approximately 400km from Moscow, and manufacturers plastic bottles for the personal care and home industries.

The acquisition is said to be a ‘perfect fit’ for Weeener Plastics’ global expansion strategy.

Yaroslav Sidorov, General Manager of WP Russia, said: “We are pleased to welcome Artpack in the Weener Plastics Group.

“Russia is an attractive growth market for us. With the take over of Artpack, we can further strengthen our leading position in Russia and enhance our offering of integrated plastic packaging solutions.”

Weener Plastics is headquartered in Ede, in The Netherlands, and operates 25 facilities in 16 countries.
