The recycled waste cork packaging can be reused or returned to the brand

Wellness brand Kypwell has adopted new eco-friendly packaging for its line of skin care products.

The line is housed in packaging made from compressed waste cork, glass, wood and sugarcane.

As well as being fully recyclable, the packaging can be reused as a container for planting and growing small vegetables or microgreens.

The pot can also be returned to Kypwell for a discount on the customer’s next purchase.

Available in the line is the new Carob Superfood Mask, All Clear Ahead Botanical Acne Serum and Mountain Spring Deep Moisturizing Cream (from €40).

The Cypriot brand is also expected to cut down on its paper usage by replacing instruction leaflets with QR codes, and has pledged to achieve zero waste.

UK brand Lush has also adopted this method of packaging for its beauty lines, which achieved certification from the Carbon Trust as a carbon neutral packaging product.

It verified that each 35g Cork Pot sequesters over 33 times its weight in carbon dioxide.
