While many might be keen to clear payments before spending money on luxuries, 32% of women feel that buying make-up is more important than paying bills, according to a survey conducted by Jolen Creme Bleach.

The survey, which questioned 1,000 women aged 18-55 and covered the UK, found that key beauty buys included hair removal and self-tanning products, and professional blow-dries.
