The in-cosmetics ingredient trade show, currently taking place in Paris, is a hotbed of new trends – sometimes signalling next year’s big beauty stories before they’ve reached consumer’s ears.

While there has been industry chat surrounding epigenetics – the study of changes in organisms caused by the modification of gene expression rather than the genetic code – for a while, two newly launched ingredients are approaching the topic from a different angle.
