YSL Beauté has named Global Makeup Ambassador Zoë Kravitz as the face of its iconic Black Opium fragrance.

The 29-year-old American singer-songwriter worked with the luxury brand on its Before The Light Project and to promote its Tatouage Couture range last September.

Kravitz, daughter of musician Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet, made her acting debut in 2007 playing Charlotte in the Emmy Award winning film No Reservations.

Commenting on the appointment, she said: “I’m so excited to be the new ambassador for such an incredible, bold, iconic fragrance.

“Black Opium is a modern legend, and to be able to share its power with a global audience is an honour.”

In the campaign film Kravitz, along with other models, is shot travelling across downtown Tokyo with a futuristic theme.

The film was directed by photographer and filmmaker Jonas Lindstroem, famous for his visual paintings and edgy style, who has worked with artists including American rapper Kendrick Lamar.

Kravitz added: “I’ve very much enjoyed my work with this timeless company so far and look forward to taking it to a new level.”
