The brand’s fruit and veg-based products are free from toxic chemicals and are at least 95% natural

American brand Yes To is supporting the UK’s war on wet wipes with the launch of a new sustainable collection.

Yes To’s wipes (from £1.99) are made with 100% cellulose - a natural polymer that forms part of the living cells of all vegetation - and are biodegradable, compostable and renewable.

The products are Forest Stewardship Council certified and do not contain plastic binders commonly found in conventional wet wipes.

Instead, Yes To wipes are made using Spunlace technology, which is free from latex material.

The range includes five types of wipes, each designed for a specific skin care need.

Grapefruit brightens dull skin; Tomato controls blemish outbreaks; Cucumber is for sensitive skin; Coconut helps with hydration; and Tomato Charcoal is said to detoxify skin.

Currently 93% of blocked UK sewage pipes are caused by wet wipes and 5,453 wet wipes were recovered from 116sqm of the Thames river, London, in 2018.

Yes To’s biodegradable wipes are now available online from yesto.co.uk.
