Using data from its YouCam Makeup app, AR beauty company Perfect Corp has revealed the top lipstick trends for its customers.
In honour of National Lipstick Day, the company has identified the top five Pantone lip colours of the year.
Classic pinks and reds held their position as consumer favourites, with flamingo pink taking the top spot, followed by carmine, deep pink, amaranth and cerise.
Matte lipsticks were also found to be a global favourite, apart from in Japan, despite speculation that gloss lip products would return to being consumers’ favourites.
The YouCam app also found that consumers living on the east coast of the US favoured pink coloured products, in comparison to west coast US customers who prefer red shades.
The data was sourced from the app’s database and a panel of Beauty Circle users.
