MAC has had a busy year for make-up collaborations announcing lines with Mariah Carey, Charlotte Olympia and Ellie Goulding, to name just a few. But the Estée Lauder brand isn’t about to slow down the pace and has just announced news of another partnership.
Much to the joy of style enthusiasts the world over, MAC is joining forces with US fashion designer Zac Posen, whose designs have become a favourite with celebrities on the red carpet. The 34-year-old has established himself firmly both on the catwalk as well as in retail and even on television; in 2010 he launched an affordable clothing line called Z Spoke, which was sold exclusively through US retailer Saks Fifth Avenue, while he became a household name in the US when he signed a contract to become a judge on television show Project Runway.
However, the tie-in with MAC represents Posen’s first step into the cosmetics industry (he has previously launched fragrances). The MAC Zac Posen collection is slated to hit shelves in February 2016 according to media reports and, while MAC is holding back on the full details, an image of the range has been released (pictured below). An eyeshadow palette centres around a rich palette of smokey purples and nudes, while a lipstick features in a deep berry red. Meanwhile, the line will also contain an eyeliner with a pointed tip, ideal for creating a flicked or winged finish. A brush and blusher/bronzer palette complete the line up.
