Paris-based beauty trade show will debut a Formulation Lab and Sensory Bar

The in-cosmetics beauty ingredients trade show will introduce two new new features for its 2016 edition. The Formulation Lab and Sensory Bar are said to be a response to growing demand for direct interaction and hands-on knowledge transfer.

It will be the first time that the European edition of in-cosmetics, which take place on 12-14 April in Paris, has included a Formulation Lab, which was successfully debuted at in-cosmetics Asia in 2014 to give visitors hands-on experience and access to demonstration-style sessions.

Exhibitors including Evonik, Ashland and Lucas Meyer will host one-hour sessions in a purpose-built laboratory on the show floor, allowing finished product manufacturers to learn from the experts who are driving innovation in the sector.

The Sensory Bar, meanwhile is an entirely new addition to the in-cosmetics portfolio of events and will house a ‘try-out’ area where visitors can test innovative textures and new sensations. Formulations created using new fragrances, tastes and state-of-the-art pigments will be displayed.

Those interested in attending sessions at the Formulation Lab must have their suitability checked, as only finished product manufacturers are eligible to take part.
