in-cosmetics North America ramps up educational and interactive aspects

From 17-18 October, in-cosmetics North America – the most interactive personal care ingredients event in the region – will return to the Javits Center in New York with a two-day programme that will inspire a new wave of innovation in the region.

A number of new initiatives will debut at the 2018 show, that will have an increased focus on indie brands, designed to encourage the attendance of this growing sector of the industry.

Among the opportunities available to indie brands will be a dedicated session to discuss the common challenges they face, such as distribution. On the second day, Speed Networking sessions will give exhibitors an invaluable opportunity to speak to indie brand owners and contract manufacturers in order to forge mutually beneficial working relationships.

Elsewhere, the popular and successful Focus on Marketing Tours will return in 2018. Beauty Edge, a consultancy specialising in product development, will again give exclusive tours around the show with participants guided to the major feature areas and handpicked exhibitor stands, helping show visitors the most inspiring parts of the event.

When it comes to developing knowledge of the North American beauty industry, there is no better place. The show’s renowned, free-to-attend Marketing Trends seminars will help attendees better understand the factors contributing to the future of the industry. Some of the world’s most respected research agencies, such as Euromonitor, Kline and Mintel, will present their latest insights in New York.

Sourcing opportunities will be plentiful at in-cosmetics North America, with the inspirational Innovation Zone area showcasing the newest and most unique ingredients and formulations from leading global suppliers. Additionally, the Make-Up and Sensory Bars will display unique colour cosmetics products and exciting new materials that will help chemists deliver unusual textures or skin feels.

The nail-biting Formulation Challenge will also return as leading manufacturers go head to head in a 90-minute battle to create the most original and believable formulation from a box of surprise ingredients.
