Industrial interior design is inspired by industrial buildings and elements such as exposed pipes, metal, concrete and brick.

“Industrial style in interior design can be best described as the grunge baby between modern and farmhouse aesthetics,” say Vy Truong and Han Dang, co-founders and Principals at Houston, Texas-based interior design firm Very Handsome Studio.

Using materials in their rawest and roughest forms, Truong and Dang say the style “often embodies minimalism, playing on the movement of natural and raw materials to set the tone, and uses dark metals to tie the look together”.
