Some 69 jobs will be cut from the company’s Summit workspace, with the beauty giant admitting decisions like this are ‘never easy’

Kenvue has announced job cuts at its recently opened global headquarters in New Jersey, US.

The move will affect 69 jobs at the US consumer health companies’ Summit workspace, with the cuts to be made between 10 October and 19 December 2025.

“We are constantly evolving our operations to better position us to innovate and reach more consumers,” a Kenvue spokesperson told Cosmetics Business.

“Decisions impacting our employees are never easy, and we are fully committed to providing those affected by this change with the resources and support they may need.”

Johnson & Johnson’s (J&J) consumer health spinoff Kenvue opened the space in March 2025.

The 290,000sqft space aimed to consolidate the company’s teams, which were previously spread across several geographic locations.

Kenvue said at the time that staff will be able to take advantage of the building, designed to “accelerate innovation and enhance consumer experiences”.

Thibaut Mongon, CEO of Kenvue, commented at the time: “There is no better place to unlock the full potential of our iconic brands than in the state many of our brands have proudly called home for more than 135 years.

“Our thoughtfully designed campus brings together our iconic brands and our people under one roof, allowing us to innovate, drive growth and realise the extraordinary power of everyday care for more people in New Jersey and around the world.”

Kenvue launched in 2022 and Aveeno, Neutrogena, Johnson’s, Tylenol and Dr.Ci:Labo are among the brands included in the consumer brand owner’s portfolio.

J&J originally announced plans to separate its consumer health arm into a new publicly listed company in November 2021.

Kenvue was valued at around US$41bn in its initial public offering in 2023.
