The Spanish beauty conglomerate, which owns Charlotte Tilbury and Rabanne, has also appointed Jose Manuel Albesa to the newly created role of Deputy CEO

Rabanne-owner Puig has reported bumper revenues for the first half of 2025.

Net revenue reached €2.3bn – a 7.6% increase on a like-for-like (LFL) basis and 5.9% reported – driven by fragrances and a recovery in its make-up category.

A strong colour cosmetics performance was driven by Charlotte Tilbury, with increased sales of the make-up brand’s Super Nudes collection and the expansion of its Unreal franchise.

Make-up contributed 15% of Puig's revenue in H1 2025.

“Fragrance continued to perform well and the recovery in make-up in the second quarter was encouraging,” said Marc Puig, Chairman and CEO of Puig.

“We achieved these results while growing our adjusted EBITDA by 8.6% year-on-year and improving our EBITDA margin to 19.4%, in line to achieve our FY2025 guidance.”

Skin care also delivered revenue of €276bn, with growth of 8.6% on a like-for-like basis and 8.1% reported year-on-year.

Growth was driven by a strong performance from Uriage, the largest brand in the segment, particularly in sun care.

This was complemented by Charlotte Tilbury’s skin care offering.

Skin care represented 12% of Puig’s net revenue in H1.

Puig added: “The second half is always our busiest period, with holiday demand and the full roll out of La Bomba, the new Carolina Herrera fragrance, still to come.

“The desirability of our brands, alongside our continued cost discipline, is allowing us to invest in them to support sustainable long-term growth.

“This underpins our confidence in reiterating our outlook for the year.”

Puig has also appointed Jose Manuel Albesa to the newly created role of Deputy CEO.

Manuel Albesa will take charge of all Puig divisions, along with his current role as Beauty and Fashion President, to drive growth at the Spanish beauty conglomerate.

He first joined Puig in 1998 and is said to have played a pivotal role in shaping Puig’s strategic direction and driving the global expansion of its portfolio.

“Over the course of his career, Jose Manuel Albesa has held various senior leadership positions across brand development, marketing and innovation,” Puig said in a company statement.

“Among other achievements, he was instrumental in repositioning Rabanne, Carolina Herrera and Jean Paul Gaultier, transforming them into three of the world’s top ten fragrance brands.

“He is widely recognised for his creative leadership and long-term vision in brand building.

“As well as for fostering creative talent, reinforcing Puig’s position as a true home of creativity.”
