Reducing sun-induced redness: Science backed supplement LUMINA365

Published: 26-Jun-2025

The new, unique and innovative Lumina365 ingestible supplement, has been clinically proven to deliver visible improvements in the skin's response to sun exposure, providing an additional layer of whole-body sun protection that reduces skin redness by almost 50%, helping to maintain an even skin tone, 24 hours after UVB exposure in just eight weeks

Every brand in the suncare segment is trying to find unique innovation to deliver sun protection to their clients. One way for sure is via sun protection supplements, which have been on top of consumers’ minds lately.

Following consumer demand, the European third-party manufacturer just recently revealed the clinical results of its unique Lumina365, a white-label supplement formulation. Uroš Gotar, the Chief Innovation Officer overseeing Lumina’s development, explains, “We identified a growing demand for multifunctional products, particularly in the suncare sector, which is entering its era of "beautification," where products not only protect but also enhance the skin, combining functional benefits with aesthetic appeal. That's how Lumina365 was born."

Adding to that, consumers are increasingly aware of the potentially harmful effects of ingredients in their topical sun blockers: 50% of German Gen Z consumers say they are concerned that ingredients in sun protection products may be harmful to their health. Lumina365 avoids the negative impact on consumers and the environment associated with many chemical sunscreens, which can harm marine life. The formulation also steers clear of concerns related to hormonal disruption, which can occur with long-term use of certain chemical filters found in sunscreens.

The outstanding results of the clinical study confirming the efficacy of Lumina365 have also been published in the Nutrients MDPI Journal, highlighting the formula’s ability to help protect the skin from UV-induced redness and enhance overall tolerance to sun exposure, making it a unique addition to modern sun care routines.
