L'Occitane ups production capacity at Melvita

The Occitane group's bio-cosmetics company Melvita, based at Lagorce in the Ardeche region of southern France, has increased its production capacity with the construction of new units at an investment cost of €10m.


The Occitane group's bio-cosmetics company Melvita, based at Lagorce in the Ardeche region of southern France, has increased its production capacity with the construction of new units at an investment cost of €10m.

The new capacity will be in operation in 2010 and will enable the company to undertake a complete reorganisation of production to match a new strategy of internationalisation.

Melvita produces some 400 reference products comprising creams, shampoos, oils and toilet waters and has annual sales of about €30m of which over 90% are achieved in France.
