Lush extends 'Naked' concept with new digital tool

According to the brand, 100,000 marine mammals and turtles, and one million sea birds are killed by marine plastic pollution annually

To mark World Oceans Day (8 June), Lush has developed a new digital tool to replace packaging for a number of its products.

Customers can now use its Lush Lens feature, via the Lush Labs app, from their smartphone to access detailed ingredient information and how-to-use demos.

The new technology is an extension Lush’s ‘Naked’ concept to reduce its packaging.

It has also introduced a number of ‘Naked’ colour cosmetic products, including a foundation and lipstick.

According to the brand, every day approximately eight million pieces of plastic are disposed in the world’s oceans.
