Shiseido has announced the appointment of ex-Chanel MD Franck Marilly as President & CEO

Franck Marilly will become Shiseido Group’s new President & CEO, effective 1 January 2018.

Marilly has more than 25 years’ experience within the industry and served as Chanel’s Managing Director Europe Fragrance & Beauty.

Alongside this he will lead and support global brand holders of Dolce & Gabbana beauty, Fragrance Designer Brands and Serge Lutens.

Current President & CEO, Masahiko Uotani, who took over from Louis Desazars last week, said: “In the second stage of Group VISION 2020 for EMEA, Franck Marilly will drive acceleration of business transformation across diverse functions of regional head quarter and further integration of organizations within the region.

“His main focus will be to achieve profitability within the region and keep on building talents and capabilities as well as driving fragrances and cosmetics brands.”
