Chroma putty makes it easy to glow in the dark

Published: 23-Jul-2010

New from Chroma Corporation is Glow Putty, designed to allow the addition of glow-in-the-dark properties to specific areas of rotational moulded products for a 29-hour glow. The product eliminates the need to make an entire photoluminescent part to achieve a glow-in-the-dark effect and gives rotational moulders greater flexibility with regards to where they want to apply the putty; to highlight specific logos, for instance.

“The Glow Putty is estimated to cost at least 80% less than a part moulded entirely of the photoluminescent compounded material. The glow effect is durable because the colour is moulded into the plastic,” comments Stuart Swain, Chroma’s director of sales and marketing.

The putty is available in either a green glow (MB-9164 GP) or a blue glow (MB-9165 GP).
