Deciem – the creator of The Ordinary, Niod and Loopha – has promised to plant more than 100,000 trees and kelp as part of a new sustainability initiative.

The Estée Lauder Companies-owned incubator has partnered with veritree, a technology platform focused on helping businesses with environmental efforts.

Through the scheme, Deciem will target areas that are “ecologically sensitive” or devastated by wildfires, with the aim of restoring ecosystems and rebuilding biodiversity, coastal resilience and community connection to nature.

The move is expected to remove 43,800 tonnes of CO₂, the equivalent of removing nearly 10,000 cars from the road per year.

The company is ”taking meaningful steps” to reduce its environmental impact and help restore the planet.
