Grammy, Emmy and three-time Tony Award-winning star Billy Porter has launched skin care and make-up brand Black Mona Lisa Beauty.
The line is inspired by the American actor and singer’s “fearless spirit” and has been created “for all identities, skin tones and styles”.
The collection spans “statement-making” eyeshadows and “bold” lip shades, to anti-ageing skin care, all built on an ethos of “inclusivity, creativity and self-expression”.
Porter is best known for his Broadway stage roles in such shows as Kinky Boots, Dreamgirls, Grease and Smoky Joe's Café.
He has also had on-screen roles in popular television shows American Horror Story and Pose.
Talking about the launch, Porter said: “Black Mona Lisa Beauty was created from my desire to give all people everything they need to feel beautiful.

“I have always loved make-up, and my vision is a beauty space where diversity is not a feature, it is the foundation, regardless of skin tone, gender or style.
“In a world where children have to grow up so fast, I think parents will feel comfortable with their younger children exploring with these products.
“This is only the beginning – my journey is unfolding and Black Mona Lisa Beauty will evolve alongside me.”
The brand claims to offer “high-performance products that celebrate beauty in all its forms”.
Liquid Shimmer is a crease- and smudge-proof product that can be used on its own or layered on top of eyeshadows, highlighters and lipsticks for a touch of sparkle.
Liquid to Matte Lipstick, Luxury Matte Lipstick and Luxury Cream Lipstick make up the brand’s lip offering, available in a range of pigment-strong shades.
An Active Eye Cream and serums infused with ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, glycolic acid and collagen are among the skin care offerings.
Prices range from US$9.99 to $66.99.
