Breakout Beauty UK is a new accelerator programme designed to discover and support UK beauty founders.
The programme, designed by Growth Studio, is being backed by beauty entrepreneurs Trinny Woodall, creator of Trinny London, and Mitchell Halliday, founder of Made by Mitchell.
The programme is seeking “market-ready” beauty businesses with a minimum annual turnover of £150,000 to support their next stage of development.
It opens for applications on 11 August, and once closed, it will run from 27 October until 3 December. Beauty brands can enter here.
Over six weeks [starting in October], ten finalist founders will access mentorship, investment guidance, retail partnerships, clinics and business development support.
This culminates in a final ‘pitch day’, which will see two finalists awarded the Breakout Beauty UK Grand Prize, which is worth more than £350,000 combined.
Winners will also benefit from a 12-month listing in ten of UK health and beauty retailer Boots' biggest stores and on boots.com.
Boots, TikTok Shop, the British Beauty Council and venture capital firm Venrex are supporting the programme alongside Woodall and Halliday.
"The beauty industry is thriving; in fact, it is growing four times faster than the wider economy,” said Woodall.
