Founded in 1985 and now part of the Croda Group’s Fragrances and Flavours division alongside Iberchem, Parfex has grown into an international fragrance house serving fine fragrance, personal care, and home fragrance markets. Its new 2,550m² facility brings together all teams under one roof, creating an environment designed to accelerate innovation while reducing environmental impact.
“This new Creation Center is a strategic step forward,” said Cristian Galucci, Managing Director of Parfex. “It allows us to work more efficiently, attract talent, and support our customers with greater agility—all while staying true to our values of creativity and responsibility.”
The building includes 800m² of laboratory space and 1,750m² of offices, with energy-efficient features such as high-performance insulation, climate-responsive façades, and an advanced ventilation system that reduces energy use in labs by 95%. Despite being significantly larger than the previous premises, the new site consumes three times less energy per square metre. A solar panel installation scheduled for later this year will further boost energy autonomy.
The Creation Center also houses a dedicated neuroscience testing booth equipped with Wavemotion®, a patented technology developed by Iberchem. This innovation allows Parfex to conduct emotional impact studies in full autonomy, strengthening its ability to create fragrances rooted in measurable consumer responses.
“This investment is only the beginning,” added Galucci. “Our ambition is clear: to double our revenue every five years and become a global reference in creative, responsible perfumery rooted in Grasse.”
To support this ambition, Parfex is preparing the complete reconstruction of its production site by 2027. The new facility will triple the current surface area and significantly increase manufacturing capacity, paving the way for the next phase of growth.
