Equipment testing and packaging solutions provider Cerulean Instrumentation has developed a new handheld OCT Optical Carton Tester which optically measures and records the dimensions, angles and symmetry of carton creases, beads and formed boxes.
The company said the OCT can assess the multi-layer construction of all types of printed or non-printed carton board, paperboard and waxed carton products as well as being able to test complex embossing and multi-folded corners. The OCT system will be introduced at Interpack in Düsseldorf on 8-14 May 2014.
