British Beauty Week 2025 to shine a spotlight on the ‘future of beauty’

The British Beauty Council’s British Beauty Week returns this October to spotlight the innovation and technology behind the UK beauty industry’s stellar growth. 

The beauty industry delivered a total GDP contribution of £30.4bn to the UK economy in 2024 – a 9% increase compared to the year before – and the 2025 edition of British Beauty Week will focus on the key drivers behind this and beyond.

Under the ‘Future of Beauty‘ theme, the week-long activities (20 to 26 October) will explore everything from product and manufacturing innovation to technology and AI (artificial intelligence), consumer trends, sustainability and more. 

“This year's theme is the ‘Future of Beauty’, which is designed to spotlight the British Beauty industry as a hotbed for creativity, innovation and technology,” British Beauty Council CEO Millie Kendall told Cosmetics Business

“We are bringing together the brightest thinkers from across the sector to spotlight the value of beauty for the socio-economic footprint of the UK. 

“Brands and businesses will also be spotlighting the newest ingredients, formulations and innovations driving growth, and thus exports, reinforcing the UK's vital role on the global stage.”

Last year’s British Beauty Week reached 52.4 million people across all media and physical activations, reported the council.

Events taking place during British Beauty Week 2025

British Beauty Week 2025’s agenda will explore hot topics, including the next generation of talent and the importance of investment for future-proofing the industry.

On Wednesday 22 October, the council will host its one-day ‘Industry Hub’ at the Royal Society of Arts in London, UK.

This industry-focused day aims to bring together the brightest thinkers in the beauty world to provide insight and inspiration on some of the sector’s biggest challenges and opportunities.
