The limited-edition colour cosmetics collection, created with L’Oréal Paris, marks the French fashion house’s first beauty launch in 15 years, with Kendall Jenner fronting the campaign

Luxury French fashion house Mugler is making its return to beauty following a 15 year hiatus with the launch of a new line of colour cosmetics, in collaboration with L’Oréal Paris.

The two L’Oréal Group-owned brands have partnered to bring beauty back to Mugler following the discontinuation of its make-up line in 2010.

The limited-edition run will feature a cushion foundation in 10 shades, a felt liner, a mascara, lipsticks, radiance sticks and eyeshadow palettes.

The collection will be available to buy in the US, China, Africa, Europe, and Latin America.

Prices run from £12.99 to £20.99.

Products in the collection draw on the global market and a shift towards the ‘skinification’ of make-up, with cushion compacts inspired by Asian beauty trends and hyaluronic acid-infused lipstick formulas.

The launch has been marked with a campaign film, fronted by L’Oréal Paris Global Ambassador Kendall Jenner and directed by Colin Solal Cardo.

The campaign also features music from Lukas Heerich and photography by Txema Yeste.

L’Oréal Paris Global Make-Up Artist Harold James was behind the creative direction for the campaign shoot, creating four make-up looks inspired by the Mugler outfits worn by Jenner, in addition to creating looks for the website.

Mary Phillips, who recently launched her own brand, m.ph beauty,  was the celebrity make-up artist behind Jenner’s glam.

The collaboration marks L’Oréal Paris’ fourth collection in partnership with high-fashion houses, following Balmain (2017), Isabel Marant (2018), Karl Lagerfeld (2019) and Elie Saab (2021).

The collaboration comes as a number of major fashion houses are investing in growing their beauty offerings, following the likes of Louis Vuitton’s make-up line launch.
