More than 67,000 Power Stick deodorants made by A.P. Deauville recalled

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recalled cases of deodorant due to deviations from manufacturing regulations

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall for deodorants made by manufacturer A.P. Deauville.

The recall is for three types of deodorant under the brand name Power Stick and is due to Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) deviations.

This set of regulations in the US is enforced by the FDA to ensure the quality of products.

No further details on what the nature of deviations were shared by the regulator and A.P. Deauville has not responded to a request by Cosmetics Business for comment.

According to the FDA notice, the products were distributed nationwide and stocked at retailers Walmart, Dollar Tree and Amazon.

Affected products are:

  • Power Stick for her roll-on Antiperspirant Deodorant Powder Fresh (1.8oz/53ml) – UPCCode 815195019313
  • Power Stick Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant Spring Fresh (1.8oz/53ml) – UPC Code 815195018194
  • Power Stick Original Nourishing Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant (1.8oz/53ml) – UPC Code 815195018224. 

The recall affects more than 67,000 cases of deodorant in total.
