L’Oréal-backed e-commerce start-up Noli is on a mission to cut through the noise of the oversaturated skin care and beauty market.

The artificial intelligence (AI)-powered multi-brand marketplace start-up, the name of which stands for ‘No one like I’, delivers hyper-personalised multi-brand product recommendations.

It achieves this using advanced AI technology – a face scan and a diagnostic quiz – which then recommends products best suited for the user, and the company caught the eye of L’Oréal in 2024.

The business was founded by industry veteran Amos Susskind, a former Managing Director in multiple roles at L’Oréal, and Maëlle Gasc, also from the French beauty giant.

The pair were brought together by a shared desire to tackle the “pain point” of oversaturation in the beauty sphere through technology.

And with an estimated 72,000 users already registered on Noli, Susskind tells Cosmetics Business that the platform is just getting started.
