Schwarzkopf has announced actress Lindsay Lohan as its newest Brand Ambassador.
The appointment celebrates a two-decade relationship between the American actress and Schwarzkopf Professional US Creative Director of Colour & Technique, Tracey Cunningham.
“Tracey is more than my colourist – she is a trusted creative partner,” said Lohan in a company statement.
“Whether I am in a new movie or walking a red carpet, there is only one shot to get my hair colour right and it is often a really tight turnaround.
“Tracey takes the time to explain every product she uses and why. That’s how I discovered Schwarzkopf.
“The results are always incredible, and it is now the only brand I trust in the salon.”
Known for her ever-evolving hair colour – from fiery reds to cool-toned brunettes and luminous blondes – Lohan has consistently been versatile and adventurous with her hair.
Her most recent transformation, a golden, radiant tone coined ‘Soft Gloss Blonde’, has quickly become one of the most requested shades in salons across the country, the hair care brand said in a statement.
Created by Cunningham using Schwarzkopf Professional’s Igora Vibrance and Blondme systems, the look is inspired by classic Hollywood glamour and debuts just as Lohan prepares to star in Freakier Friday, the much-anticipated movie sequel to the 2003 classic Freaky Friday.
“For the first time, we are sharing the exact formula behind Lindsay’s blonde,” Cunningham said.
“To take her lighter, I used Schwarzkopf Professional’s Blondme lightener and Igora Vibrance to ensure we lifted the colour while preserving hair health and shine.
“These are products I fully trust and when you are colouring hair for an A-list star before a film shoot or a red carpet, trust is everything.”
Schwarzkopf’s Blondme range, featuring integrated bonding technology, is said to minimise damage during the lightening process.
“Lindsay’s colour story is about confidence, transformation and trust, the same values we stand for at Schwarzkopf,” said Teresa Cordova, Head of Schwarzkopf Masterbrand US.
“Hair is deeply personal, and our mission is to empower stylists and clients to express themselves with the highest-performing formulas in the industry.”
To celebrate the partnership and support the professional community, Schwarzkopf Professional is launching a limited-time endcap activation at leading professional beauty distributors in the US.
And for those looking to replicate Lohan’s high-impact blonde at home, Schwarzkopf is highlighting its Keratin Color range, with the ‘11.0 Hi-Lift Natural Blonde’ shade.
Designed for premium results outside the salon, the formula features the brand’s Bond Enforcing System, providing up to 100% grey coverage and up to 80% less breakage compared to untreated hair.
