Remington has unveiled former pro-footballer and Sky Sports regular pundit Micah Richards as its new Brand Ambassador.
Joining as the face of the personal care brand’s Shave & Trim category, Richards will spotlight Remington’s electric shavers, beard trimmers and grooming tools.
Richards is an English former professional footballer, who served as a defender at football club Manchester City.
He retired from the sport in 2019 due to injury, and has since become a football pundit for broadcasters like BBC, Sky Sports and CBS.
"I am buzzing to be working with Remington," said Richards.
"My hair styles have always been a big part of how I express myself – on-and-off the pitch – and I love how Remington makes high-performance tools that fit into everyday routines.”
Known for his dedication to a fresh trim, Richards once claimed to spend £600 on hair cuts per week.
He continued: “I never thought I would be tempted to cheat on my barber, but here I am.
“With Remington’s high-performance tools in my hands, I have realised you can get a proper trim from the comfort of your own home and it fits into my routine, effortlessly.”
The campaign will see Richards front a multi-channel content series, during which the star will be challenged to take grooming “into his own hands” – even trimming members of the public with Remingron tools.
The brand said in a statement that the partnership is “empowering men to take control of their look and show up as their most confident, authentic selves”.
