Ulta Beauty has appointed Martin Brok and Stephenie Landry to its board of directors and as members of its Audit and Compensation Committees.
The appointments are effective 1 September, and follow former Revolution Beauty CEO Lauren Brindley joining as Chief Merchandising and Digital Officer in May.
“We are thrilled to welcome Martin and Stephenie to our board of Directors,” said Kecia Steelman, President and CEO of Ulta Beauty.
Brok joins the Ulta Beauty board with more than 35 years of global leadership in consumer brands and retail innovation.
He previously served as Global President and CEO of Sephora, and currently serves on the board of beauty brand Revlon.
Landry joins the US beauty retailer’s board with more than 20 years of leadership in consumer technology, retail operations and strategic transformation.
She previously held leadership roles at Amazon, including VP of Worldwide Grocery and VP of Prime Now.
“Martin is an accomplished, strategic leader with deep international experience in the areas of retailing, merchandising, and brand strategy,” said Steelman.
“While Stephenie has strong operational and digital innovation expertise and sustainability leadership.
“Their transformative track records and strategic vision will be invaluable as we navigate our next chapter of growth.”
With these appointments, Ulta Beauty claimed its board now consists of 12 directors, including 67% women, 33% racially diverse and 50% appointed within the last five years.
The new appointments follow Ulta Beauty and discount department store chain Target's plan to conclude its five-year partnership deal in 2026.
The two retail conglomerates have mutually agreed not to renew their shop-in-shop scheme, which allows customers to purchase Ulta Beauty-stocked products within Target stores.
