Boots is tapping into its heritage in health with two new own-brand launches combining beauty and wellness.

The high street retailer has created Modern Chemistry and Habi, which both have skin care and supplements under the same umbrella.

Modern Chemistry is an ingredient-led range with nine skin care products, including the 10% Vitamin C / Ferulic Acid Serum and the Sea Buckthorn Oil / Vitamin E Cleansing Balm.

Hitting stores this month, it joins a 10-strong line-up of Modern Chemistry supplements which debuted in May, including Ashwagandha capsules, Magnesium Citrate capsules and Liposomal Vitamin C Drops.

Habi, meanwhile, is a brightly coloured accessible range of eight skin care products that includes a water moisturiser, jelly cleanser and spot stickers.

Also on sale from July, they join a range of 15 vitamin gummies including “In the Zone” containing Lions Mane for cognitive function, “A Good Hair Day” containing biotin for healthy hair, and “Defence Mode: with vitamin C and zinc to support immunity.

Joe Thorley-Mitchell, Director of Boots Brand, told Cosmetics Business, that as the idea behind each brand is relevant to both skin care and supplements, having both under the same name was “a natural fit”.
