Prada Beauty is hosting a UK pop-up to “immerse” consumers in its latest viral launch – Lip Balm in Banana Yellow.
The Prada Beauty Banana Balm Pop-Up will take place at London-based luxury department Store Selfridges from 28 August to 3 September, promising an “unmissable Banana Balm experience”.
Prada Balm in Banana Yellow taps into the beauty industry’s current obsession with bananas and was first teased in singer Sabrina Carpenter's ‘Manchild’ music video.
The banana-scented lip product pays homage to one of the Italian house’s most recognisable prints – the banana motif featured in its spring/summer 2011 collection.
It was launched alongside a limited-edition release of Prada Banana candy.
The Prada Beauty Banana Balm Pop-Up is said to be packed with “interactive and complimentary experiences”, such as taking a selfie in the Prada Photobooth.
Guests can enjoy a complimentary Banana Granita at the store’s Duke Street entrance, before moving inside to the Hilary Site for a bunch of “unforgettable moments”.
The first 250 visitors will also have a chance to win the coveted Prada Banana Jellies.
The Prada Beauty Banana Balm Pop-Up takes place at Selfridges, 400 Oxford Street, London.
It will be open 10am to 10pm on 28 August; 11:30am to 6pm on 31 August; and 10am to 9pm on 1 to 3 September.
