Berlin Packaging has acquired South Korean cosmetics packaging supplier Nest-Filler.

The “strategic” acquisition will expand the Chicago-based company's operations in Asia and strengthen its beauty packaging offering.

Bill Hayesm, Global CEO and President, said all of the company's employees and manufacturing locations will be retained.

"This acquisition also offers our customers even greater access to premium skin care packaging made in South Korea, the industry leader for skin care products,” he added.

Established in 2003 by Steve Shim and located near Seoul, Nest-Filler manufactures packaging solutions for skin care and cosmetics businesses.

This includes screw bottles, cream jars, doppers, lip gloss bottles, mascara cases, and eyeliner pens made from plastic, glass or post-consumer resin (PCR).

Nest-Filler also has an in-house research and development centre which focuses on environmental packaging solutions for brands, including refill technology innovations.

"We are eager to take an exciting step forward to provide our customers with access to Berlin Packaging's impressive suite of packaging products and services while sharing our innovative packaging solutions," added Shim.

Berlin Packaging’s acquisition builds on the businesses growing portfolio of beauty packaging companies.

It acquired Premi in January 2022, a Milan-based cosmetics packaging specialist.

The company also purchased Raepak in April 2021, which expanded the business’ beauty operations in the UK.
