Grita Loebsack is poised to take on the newly-created role of President of heritage skin care label Nivea.

Loebsack, who will also join parent-company Beiersdorf’s Executive Board effective January 2022, joins Nivea from luxury sunglasses maker EssilorLuxottica, where she is currently Essilor’s Chief Marketing Officer.

However, this is not the German national’s first experience of the skin care industry; Loebsack has also held management roles at Unilever and L’Oréal, the latter of which she worked with for 16 years, having joined in 1996.

“With Grita Loebsack, Beiersdorf gains an experienced manager with broad international expertise in skin care and global brands,” said Reinhard Pöllath, Chairman of Beiersdorf’s Supervisory Board.

“Leading the iconic Nivea brand, she will be an excellent addition to the executive team in driving the implementation of the C.A.R.E.+ strategy.”

“Beiersdorf welcomes Grita Loebsack as a new member of the Executive Board and to the Beiersdorf family,” added Vincent Warnery, Chairman of Beiersdorf’s Executive Board.

“I am very pleased that Grita Loebsack will take over responsibility for our flagship brand Nivea, leading it into an even more successful future.

“I am convinced that she will develop Nivea into an even more global, digital, and sustainable brand inspiring our consumers around the world.”
