Coty names new Chief Global Corporate Affairs Officers

Coty has appointed Esra Erkal-Paler has its new Chief Global Corporate Affairs Officer.

Based in London, from 21 May, she will report to CEO Camillo Pane and be responsible for leading Coty’s global internal and external communication strategies.

Pane said: “I am delighted to welcome Esra to Coty, who brings over 20 years of strategic communication and corporate affairs experience spanning beauty, consumer goods, health care and regulatory sectors.

“She has a strong track record of transforming corporate reputation, with a multi-channel mindset for engaging internal and external stakeholders.”

“As a member of our executive committee, I’m confident that she will make a significant contribution to achieving our ambition of being a global leader and challenger in beauty.”

Erkal-Paler joins Coty from Anglo-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca where she spent the last seven years serving as Global Head of External Communications.

In her previous role, she led communications and editorial strategy for its transformation with responsibility for M&A, financial, corporate, portfolio and partnering communications, global media relations, digital channels and community investment.

Prior to this, she spent six years at L’Oréal heading internal and external communications and public industry affairs; and worked as Unilever’s Head of Corporate Affairs for nearly three years.

She was also appointed trustee and Chairperson of the British Skin Foundation in 2011.
