Debuting the new platform in Berlin this month, more cities are set to join the line-up throughout the year

German-based beauty retailer Douglas has launched an online booking platform for beauty services and treatments.

Initially debuting in Berlin, customers will be able to schedule hairdressing and beauty appointments at six Douglas stores and 80 nearby salons.

The service is set to roll-out to more German cities throughout the year.

“In the beauty business, the future belongs to those who can provide customers with unique experiences,” said Douglas’ CEO Tina Müller.

“For us, this also includes services such as beauty treatments, professional make-up and exclusive hair styling.”

Douglas is one of a number of retailers to add beauty bookings to their service.

Douglas’ Director of New Business, Jessica Koch, added: “These days, our customers consider beauty to be more than just buying products.

“They also want to take advantage of high-quality beauty services and treatments on a regular basis.”

Douglas partnered with cloud-based business solution Shore to provide the service.
