Elemis gets intense on ageing
“When skin is stressed it produces enzymes which break down healthy skin cells so skin becomes tired, thin and chalk-like,” explains Noella Gabriel, director of product and treatment development.
Targeting the dermal-epidermal junction level, the cream contains a new chaperoning technology which uses plant stem cells from edelweiss to help prevent the breakdown of the skin’s vital skin cell support structure, along with mafane flower extract which helps to support the skin’s natural lipid barrier and stimulate skin cell function. In addition the brown algae, Alaria esculenta, helps preserve skin elasticity and has antioxidant qualities, while fucose hydrates and wheat amino acid stimulates the skin’s metabolic function to deliver a tightening effect.
