This time last year the results showed a crack appearing in the usually glossy hands and nails category as market value took a tumble. But it seems the UK hands and nails market is resilient enough to gloss over a minor break.
Indeed the latest figures show that growth has been glued back into place once again, sealing the cracks and covering it over with a sheen that was even shinier than before. According to Kantar Worldpanel, the hands and nails market grew by 2.8% in the year to September 2014 to a value of £229,471m. Volume figures were painted even brighter, rising by 5.3% to 91,801 packs, proving that British women still love their polish.
