The Explorer scent follows the luxury brand's Legend and Emblem fragrances

Luxury goods company Mont Blanc has released a new flanker fragrance inspired by adventure.

Explorer follows on from the brand’s Legend and Emblem scents, which pay tribute to the theme of exploration.

However, this new product, which was created by Givaudan noses Jordi Fernandez, Antoine Madisondieu and Olivier Perscheux, is said to be blended with ingredients from remote parts of the world.

Its heart of vetiver is sourced from Haiti in the region of Les Cayes, which is said to feature smoky notes and a slight overtone of hazelnut.

Meanwhile, the patchouli at the fragrance’s base is sourced from rainforests in Indonesia, east of Borneo and, according to Fernandez, “enhances the leather and cocoa notes of the composition”.

The bottle is designed to reflect the earth’s hemispheres and is said to recall the multiple destinations explored inside the fragrance.

Customers can shop the range from £33 via The Perfume Shop.
