The eye care brand is making its first major push into beauty with the February launch of its Eye Revive line

Eye care brand Optrex (Reckitt Benckiser) is making its first major push into beauty with the February launch of its Eye Revive line. The new range, which is said to take a “multi-beneficial approach” to looking after the eyes and the skin around them, includes three products to help restore moisture to the eyes.

The first product in the collection is the Eye Revive Moisture Mist which works to revive tired eyes. According to Optrex, the formula contains liposomes which mix with the lipids naturally present in the eye to improve moisture levels. It can be sprayed directly onto closed eyelids over make-up, and can be used up to four times a day. Meanwhile, there's also a Smoothing Roll-On, which contains SYN-AKE, a synthetic peptide commonly found in skin care which is believed to mimic the action found in a snake venom peptide. The Roll-On is aimed at firming wrinkles around the eye area while also soothing the surrounding skin.

The last of the collection is the Eye Revive Brightening Drops, which take the form of traditional eye drops and claim to revive the eyes and make them feel more refreshed.

The collection, priced between £4.99-£15.31, launches in the UK in February 2014 via Boots and Tesco stores.
